From bowlers and beanies to bobbles and bands, next season is officially the age of adornment. Taking on a mix and match approach, juxtaposing textures are key to tackling this trend. "Go for accessories but use current fabrics like denim or leather on a more traditional lady-like updo," says George Northwood, creative director at Daniel Hersheson. At Erdem leather bands were paired with plaited buns, patent leather added a dominatrix slant to the chic updos at Lagerfeld, while at Prada knitted headbands gave a nod to the upcoming knitwear trend.
