Tara Smith named Celebrity Hairdresser Of The Year 2009 at the The Clothes Show Style Awards

tara smithWe told you she was the best and you, the fabulously discerning public, have shown your support and voted her your favourite Celebrity Hairdresser Of The Year at The Clothes Show Style Awards.

Tara has a fantastic CV, with Kristen Davies, Marisa Tomei, Natalie Imbruglia, Anna Friel and the stunning Rosario Dawson all enthusiastic fans. Demi Moore even supported Tara by twittering her followers to vote – and we all know how much sway the Moore/Kutcher couple have in the tweeting stakes.

On winning her award, Tara said, "I feel a little overwhelmed to be in this arena with the other nominees. It's a huge honour to win; the Clothes Show are ambassadors of style in the UK and it's amazing that they've set up this award - it really shows how inextricable hair and fashion are."

tara smith clothes show awardsHaving been lucky enough to experience the magic that is Tara Smith's skill with a pair of scissors and returned time and time again I am thrilled that she has been recognised in this way. This stylist has an eye for a cut that makes you look 10 times better than when you went in and she's also extremely brave in going that extra mile to find edginess in your style. So if you often find yourself frustrated at your stylist's lack of inspiration when you request a new look, you know what to do.

Tara has also put all her knowledge, love for hair and environmental ethos into a bottle, creating Tara Smith's natural and organic hair care range which has already won prestigious beauty awards. I'm a big fan of these gentle but effective products and love the C Curls shampoo and conditioner and for your slice of A-list hair heaven, get Tara Smith natural and organic hair products at Tesco or cultbeauty.co.uk and from July 2009 they'll also be launching in Asda, proving you don't have to pay through the nose for A-list treatment.

£2.25 - £4.99, cultbeauty.co.uk
