Her accolades speak volumes, British Colourist of the Year 2003/2004/2005. She is also resident hair colour expert on Channel 4s 10 Years Younger. With salons in the Midlands and London Lisa is a busy woman, and she's brand ambassador for Clynol. Handbag.com tracked her down and stole a few moments with the hair whisperer to glean some of her top tips for winter hair.
Blonde hair for winter
According to Lisa Shepard gone are the icy white locks of summer time, instead say hello to autumn/winter blondes who will be warming up. "As far as blondes go, the colour du jour will be almost cocoa. It is a brunette blonde, with a bronze tone. It actually looks really pretty and makes hair really, really shiny."Red hair for winter
The colourist says that no-one has done as much for the colour red as songstress Rihanna, "Loads of people have had bright colours in the past but nothing at all like what shes got."For autumn/winter 2011 red hair will be toned down, Lisa says, "heading into the winter that bright colour will become a deep mulberry." If you are now clamoring for the phone to book yourself an appointment, please note your buzz words are mulberry and claret. This hue has more of a purple tone rather than the bright orange-blue of this summer's reds.
