\r\n\r\nZooey Deschanel\'s half up half down \'do
\r\n\r\nSteal Zooey Deshchanel\'s hairstyle with this step-by-step guide by Clive Johnston, of the Clive Alexander salon.
\r\n\r\n\"This hairstyle is the sort of classic look that can be worn for the office and for the evening. My top tip to achieve the perfect half updo is to wash hair the day before. Freshly washed hair will be too fly away and is more difficult to pin up.\"
\r\n\r\n1 For the half up part, begin by gently back combing the crown section for height, smooth the sides with a bristle brush and secure with kirby grips. Twist the remaining ends into a mini roll and again secure with grips. You should have what looks like a mini beehive.
\r\n\r\n2 Blow dry the remaining half with a round brush for volume and body or with a paddle brush for a sleek smooth finish.
\r\n\r\n3 Blow dry the fringe section with a round bristle brush for extra bounce then mist with light holding spray to hold fringe in place.
\r\n\r\n4 Personalise the look with an interesting head piece or diamante clip.\"

drew barrymore voluminous ponytail
Discover how to inject some serious va-va-voom into a simple ponytail with tips from Liz Taw, official ambassador for Aussie hair care.
\r\n\r\n\"Sometimes I find hair just looks too good at stage five to put up, so use your hands to tousle hair into place. You can continue with a ponytail the next day as the hair should still have the bounce and shine needed, and day old hair is easier to put up on most people.\"
\r\n\r\n1 Start with a good volumising shampoo and conditioner like Aussie Aussome Volume to give you a good base for styling.
\r\n\r\n2 Apply a handful of volumising mousse such as Aussie Aussome Volume Mousse through towel dried hair. Using a wide tooth comb, distribute the product evenly from root to tip.
\r\n\r\n3 Tip head upside down and blow-dry on a high heat until hair is 80% dry, then using a paddle brush continue drying the hair until dry.
\r\n\r\n4 Use large heated, or Velcro rollers, mist each section with hairspray as you go. Follow the rest of the volume building range - I like Aussie volume and shine hairspray because it also gives shine and hold without the weight and stickiness.
\r\n\r\n5 Once hair has cooled, brush from ear to ear, then forward and back with a natural bristle brush.
\r\n\r\n6 Holding hair at the angle of desired ponytail, brush up into hand. When you\'re almost there, mist again with shine and volume hairspray brushing sides tight and smoothing top out more gently so as not to lose all the height on top - this will maintain the elegance. Secure with snag free elastic.
\r\n\r\n7 Take a section of hair from the underside of ponytail. Smooth with brush then wrap flat around the base to cover the elastic. Secure with a grip under the ponytail. Lightly back comb the pony and gently smooth the hair with brush using your other hand to polish the end.
\r\n\r\n\"8 For a totally perfect polish, my tip for cleaning up the hairline and those little strays is to mist some volume and shine hairspray on a large blush brush and smooth them into place.\" Liz Taw, official ambassador for Aussie hair care.

sandra bullock dishevelled updo
Recreate the glamour of the red carpet with a step-by-step guide to Sandra Bullock\'s dishevelled updo by Robert Masciave, owner of Metropolis Hairdressing.
\r\n\r\n\"Sandra\'s dishevelled updo is all about working with her natural hair texture which is good news for the ladies out there who are not fans of anything too fussy!\"
\r\n\r\n1 Wash hair first as this style requires lots of volume and texture.
\r\n\r\n2 Rough dry hair then set with heated rollers. Once hair is set, remove rollers and leave curls to cool to set.
\r\n\r\n3 Add a side parting with a metal tail comb then gently break up the curls with your fingertips and pull hair back at ear level and secure with pins.
\r\n\r\n4 Take up random sections of the hair and pin up against the head for a mass of chaotic curls.
\r\n\r\n5 Mist a shine enhancing spray all over for an extra glamorous finish.

kate hudson golden curls
Queen of the rom-com genre Kate Hudson has the ubiquitous long, golden locks. Get her look with tips from Ben Cooke, Herbal Essences ambassador and celebrity stylist.
\r\n\r\n\"This is a stylish and sophisticated head-turner style that can be easily achieved at home.\"
\r\n\r\n1 Always start with the right base, I suggest using a lightweight shampoo and conditioner like Herbal Essences Uplifting Volume the ingredients are at just the right level as to not weigh the hair down, allowing the curls to stay in place for longer.
\r\n\r\n2 To enhance the curls run through a small amount Aussie Dual Personality Curl Defining And Shine serum when hair is damp to provide a flexible hold for the curls.
\r\n\r\n3 Part hair slightly off centre and blow dry hair in sections pointing the nozzle from underneath to add volume.
\r\n\r\n4 Once hair is dry take sections about 1\" wide, use conical tongs and curl the hair away from the face leaving about 3\" from the top of your head. Then gently release the tongs and gently pin that section. This allows the curl to cool and gives you more space to curl the rest of your hair.
\r\n\r\n5 Once all sections have been curled, start from the first and gently unpin. Very gently separate the curls with you fingers so as not to fluff them up.
\r\n\r\n6 Finally, use a strong hairspray like Sebastian Professional Shaper Fierce to keep the curls in place and prevent any unwanted wisps appearing.

jennifer lopez\' pretty plaits
Steal the lovely Lopez\'s look with tips from top stylist Emily Hart at Errol Douglas.
\r\n\r\n\"Your hair needs to be relatively smooth for this, so if you have very curly hair you will need to smooth it out with a big round brush and on certain hair types this style might be easier to achieve when the hair is a day old, as clean hair is very soft and slips out easily. However this is a very easy style to achieve and will look fab with the right accessories and clothes!\"
\r\n\r\n1 Either part your hair to the side or middle. Go for a soft natural parting instead of a severe one.
\r\n\r\n2 Start plaiting your hair on each side just into two loose normal plaits. Make them look messier by pulling sections of the plaits out.
\r\n\r\n3 Once you have run out of hair, secure with a small clear band.
\r\n\r\n4 Taking one side at a time bring the plait over the top of your head and secure in place with a kirby grip. Do the same with the other side so they meet at the top.
\r\n\r\n5 This look is better with longer hair because there is more to work with. Slide a few fine pins in randomly along the plait to make it more secure.
\r\n\r\n6 Spray with Matrix Vavoom Spray to hold in place and then to get an A-list finish, spritz hair lightly with Matrix Shine Spray.
