Jennifer Aniston has been gracing every red carpet in Europe this week promoting her new film The Bounty Hunter with ladies\' man Gerard Butler. Never one to step too far out of her hair comfort zone, Jen proves that her sleek glossy straight ‘do still works after all these years. Meanwhile, across the pond American presenter and model Tyra Banks sported ironed-out locks at the annual Nickelodeon Kids\' Choice Awards. Proving that Afro hair looks just as good with a straight finish, Tyra adds an air of sophisticated glamour to her revealing red dress. Interestingly, both wear sharp centre-partings which are set to be a huge trend for mid-length and long hair this spring.

Fearne Cotton goes to the dark side

This week quirky TV presenter Fearne Cotton went from blonde bombshell to natural brunette all in the blink of an eye and we are still undecided on which look we prefer. Known for her bleach blonde locks, high street style and fetish for tattoos it seems Fearne is trying to portray a more mature look seen here working in London. The brunette colour seems to leave her pale complexion slightly washed-out although the natural colour suits her dark eyebrows and relieves her of all those nasty ‘root\' issues.

Although hunky Sam Worthington may be the reason we\'ll be heading off to the cinema to see the remake of classic film Clash Of The Titans - the man wears stubble and very little else! - it was Alexa Davalos\' hairstyle at the world premiere in Leicester Square yesterday that caught our eye. Heated rollers are the best way to recreate this look but don\'t roll them all the way to the roots or you\'ll just end up with an old lady bouffant and that is one hairstyle you\'ll never see on this lady.

Las Vegas was treated to some New York chic as actresses Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kristin Davis flew into town to promote the second Sex And The City film that we are all eagerly awaiting.

It appears that straight hair is out of favour with our Manolo-loving ladies who all sported waves and curls in their hair. Cynthia Nixon\'s short, copper-toned hair looked soft around her face with the addition of waves just from the mid-lengths while Kristin Davis opted for pulled-out big-barrelled waves. SJP had our favourite style though with curls in the mid-lengths of the hair that were shook out to almost, beachy-looking waves.

Quite frankly the celebs have let the side down recently with some very uninspiring hairstyles so we took to looking at the runways for innovative styling and came up trumps at the L\'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival in Oz.

This flame-haired model sports a hairstyle that mid to long-haired gals who wear their tresses down will love, but also works on a practical level to keep hair out of the eyes or disguising a growing out fringe.

The weekend saw the official start of spring and Monday morning is almost a joyful affair when the sun is beaming and the sky is blue. Mischa Barton is clearly feeling the joys of spring too as she attends the Make-A-Wish Foundation event in California yesterday wearing a sweet flower print blouse and crowning her newly blonde hair with a band of spring flowers.
