At the German premiere for Sherlock Holmes in Berlin she took to the red carpet in a heavy metal Karl Lagerfeld dress and made sure her hair didn\'t compete with the drama of the dress. A tousled, relaxed low updo made sure her blonde locks complemented rather than competed with the dress, while a thin headband completed the style.

Rachel McAdams wowed the crowds last night at the Sherlock Holmes premiere in Germany in a floor-sweeping green dress and sophisticated wavy bob. Waves were the order du jour at Fashion Week and Rachel McAdams shows us how to take the look from the catwalk to the red carpet with tonged waves and sultry vampy lips.

Rebecca Romijn\'s loose waves

Actress Rebecca Romijn is probably best known for her role as shape-shifting mutant, Mystique in X Men, in which she was required to be nude and painted blue for eight hours a day - sounds like fun to us! But the svelte, blonde actress has most recently become the face of the National Milk Moustache ‘got milk?\' campaign in the States. It seems unfair to us that even with a milk \'tache she\'s still super-hot and we\'re coveting her beautiful blonde waves.

Chateau Marmont in LA was overflowing with celebrities such as the brooding Jake Gyllenhaal and suave Tobey Maguire to toast the actress in her role as Luisa Contini in a megastar cast including Nicole Kidman, Daniel Day-Lewis, Kate Hudson and Judi Dench.

Her hairstyle has the office split down the middle with some viewing her tight, spiral curls as more befitting a poodle than an A-list actress. But the hair and beauty team can\'t help but love her style, which is fun and playful yet allows her to show off the elegant neckline of her dress. Dannii is radiating health and happiness at the moment and it\'s a joy to see a celebrity so sorted. Her smiling face and twinkling eyes are the perfect complement to this chic hairdo.

Side-parted and with the left side slicked back, the right side falls in glossy waves and gentle curls. Such a simple hairstyle but a chic accompaniment to such a strong statement dress.
