Despite the slightly clinical looking pump bottle, this smelt very fresh and appealing. I spritzed it on before straightening and it left my hair non-sticky and protected without feeling overloaded with product, which is just what you want. I think this is ideal for straightening hair as it left strands silky smooth and soft, but is would be better if it could double-up as a blow-drying spray too, considering its price.

Kevin.Murphy Hydrating Solution
This premium-style product beat the competition in terms of looks but I thought it smelt quite manly so more femininity would be nice. This is a cream rather than a spray and only a small amount - like a 5p coin - is needed. After applying to wet hair, my hair dried smoothly, with soft ends but not too soft so it was hard to style, jut a good balance. I liked this product and would be great to travel with thanks to its packaging.

This is a clean-cut, modern looking product that looks good on the shelf. I applied to wet hair and my hair felt protected but not as frizz-free as I would have liked it to be after blow-drying. It's a good, basic product that does what it says on the tin.

This striking, red carpet style product gets the thumbs up in terms of glamour and appearance. It's a lovely, sweet-smelling spray that soaks into hair easily. It didn't leave hair as smooth as I expected after blow-drying but gives hair good volume making it ideal if you're looking for a fuller style.
