Just like Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Miranda Kerr, Kourtney Kardashian has joined the green smoothie craze by whipping up a tall glass of kale, spinach and lemon juice to start the day.

The mum of one is having a pretty tough time of it at the moment, what with her paternity legal drama and THOSE pregnancy rumours.

So it's good to know that Kourt is taking care of her health with one of these vitamin and mineral packed juices.

If you want to make your own version, here's one of our favourite recipes that uses sweet apples and lemon juice to balance the flavour of all those veggies...

Apple and Spinach Green Smoothie

Serves: 2

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 green apples, halved
  • 1/2 pear
  • 4 stalks celery, leaves removed
  • 1 cucumber
  • 6 leaves kale
  • Handful spinach leaves
  • 1/2 lemon, peeled
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger

METHOD

Chop everything into small chunks and place in a smoothie maker or food processor.

If the final mixture is too thick add a little apple juice or water to loosen the juice drink.

Sieve or strain to remove any pips or gritty bits. Pour into a tall glass with ice and serve.
