Compared to our European counterparts British women are in the danger zone...

This is not good news for women.

According to new research, the UK has the worst ovarian cancer survival rate in the whole of Europe thanks to long delays. Wow.

Just 31% of women with the disease will survive in comparison to the European average of 37%.

In data produced by The Lancet Oncology and analysed by the Daily Mirror, the UK falls behind poorer nations like Bulgaria and Lithuania and a shocking 13.1% behind Sweden.

As if this wasn't bad enough, The Eurocare-5 study also found that the UK had lower than average survival rates for common cancers.

Hopefully, this news will be a wake up call for medial professionals?
