Courageous breast cancer patient, Deborah Cohan, has become an internet sensation after a video of her dancing to Beyoncé with her surgical team before a double mastectomy operation went viral.
Just before having anaesthesia for her major surgery, Deborah danced around to Get Me Bodied with her doctors and family at UCSF Medical Centre at Mount Zion in San Francisco, where she works as a gynaecologist.
Being hailed an inspiration for other cancer patients, Deborah was also praised by Beyoncé as the video was posted on the singer's Facebook page, saying, 'Deborah, you are awesome!'
"I will be dancing in my little hospital gown and bouffant cap in the Mt. Zion operating room with the surgical and anesthesia teams," Deborah explained on her Caring Bridge blog.
"My fantasy is for you to play the song and dance wherever you happen to be (in the kitchen, the carwash, subway platform, classroom, Labour and Delivery unit, wherever!)."
"Nothing brings me greater joy than catalyzing others to dance, move, be in their bodies," she added.
Seems others felt inspired as her co-workers posted a video of them dancing in corridors too.
What an inspiration.
