We all know that not getting enough sleep is bad news for our health, and now it's been shown that that all-essential weekend lie-in can actually do wonders for our bikini bods too.
According to new research conducted by the University of Chicago, having a lie-in can actually stave off hunger and also make us crave less fatty foods.
It's known that sleeping too much (10 hours or more) can also cause a lot of health problems like coronary heart disease, stroke, diabetes and obesity so it's really all about getting a good sleep balance.
Researchers tested people who were sleeping 6.5 hours or less a night and assessed them on how hungry they felt.
After a week, they were asked to stay in bed a little longer, and the results were clear: their desire to scoff unhealthy foods was drastically reduced.
Even 90 mins of extra kip at the weekend was proven to help control cravings and it's all to do with balancing those hormones that keep your pangs in check.
