Personal trainer Bob Harper (of the The Biggest Loser trainer fame) has a refreshing truth to share with the group: You will never look like Jessica Alba.
Dolling out the 'he's just not that into you' of fitness - the trainer spoke to US magazine about celebrity bikini bodies, in particular Jessica Alba's, saying, 'Here's the thing you have to remember when you look at celebrities that you want to have their body,' Harper said.
'Their body is their livelihood. That's their job: Their job is to look a certain way.'
'If you have to go to your office job for eight-plus hours a day and then run home to take care of your kids, you're not really going to have that kind of time,' he continued. 'But you can still be the best you that you can possibly be.'
So what do we do now oh wise Bob? Burpees and some circuit training will get you seeing results in a week says Harper.
'I see people going to the gym and they get on these elliptical or treadmills. I don't know how they do it - it's so monotonous,' says Harper.
'Circuit workouts are fun and that's what keeps weight loss fresh. They allow you to be all-in and aware of every single thing you're doing,' he told the magazine.
His favourite move of all is the burpee as it involves a person's entire body to work against itself for fat weight loss and strength building. It is the ultimate full body workout move. And it's free.
But what is this burpee you speak of?
Begin in a squat position with hands on the floor in front of you.
Kick your feet back so you are lying down in a push-up position.
Immediately bring your feet back to the squat position and then leap up as high as possible and go back to the start position. Do as many as you can as quickly as possible.
