New research suggest just 3 hours of standing can burn 8lbs of fat a year...

A new study has discovered that standing for three hours daily can help office workers to lose weight...almost 8lbs per year to be precise!

Now researchers from Chester University are recommending standing meetings and taller desks so people aren't obligated to sit down.

Exercise scientist, John Buckley, believes humans are genetically designed to prefer standing to sitting, which is why lounging makes us feel sluggish.

In three hours the average person will consume 144 calories just from standing - that's about the same as a Kit Kat.

He believes that a radical change to office life could reduce obesity, improve circulation and reduce the risk of diabetes in the average 9 to 5 worker.
