Facial exercises for defined cheek bones like Amanda Seyfried

Your face needs a good workout just like the rest of you.

If you weren't blessed with cheeks like Amanda Seyfried – hope is not lost.

You can lift your skin and firm up the muscles in your face with facial yoga exercises.

They're easy (even if you do look a bit silly doing them) and you will get a firmer and younger looking face in a matter of weeks.

The nose scrunch


Concentrate on the tip of your nose. Make all the muscles in your face move forward as if you were trying to push them to touch the tip of your nose.

Bring your brow down, pucker your lips as if trying to kiss it and push your jaw forward. Hold this attractive pose for 10 seconds.

Say your vowels


Push your jaw forward and stretch all the muscles in your face in the same direction.

Say the vowels A,E,I,O,U out loud and elongated – feeling the stretch in the muscles of your face.

The mega pout


Hold your lips closed in a relaxed smile.

Then suck in your cheeks onto your teeth. Hold for 10 and release. Repeat 10 times.

The cheek push-up


Put your three middle fingers of the pudgy section of your cheeks.

Use your fingers to push the apple of your cheek away from your mouth as if creating an exaggerated smile.

Hold this stretch and then lift and release the muscles of your cheeks up and down in a cheek push-up.

Recline your head back and gaze at the ceiling. Do three sets of 15.

Cheesy grin


Look in the mirror and smile as wide as possible – as if you were aiming to get the corners of your mouth to touch your ears.

Wrinkle your nose and you will see that your cheek muscles move up.

Hold for a count of 5 then relax. Repeat 10 times.
