A poll carried out by Tabata for National Fitness Day found that 40% of women said they just can't find time to do any exercise, however in the same survey 47% confessed they waste between 30 and 60 minutes a day on Facebook.
Guilty as charged.
A further 28 per cent of women revealed they are distracted by reality TV for at least 30 minutes a day, and 24 per cent they spent an hour on gossip websites (time well spent we say.)
However just 30 minutes of exercise a day has been proven to be enough to help the average person lose weight and stay in shape.
Research published in the American Journal of Physiology found that people who worked out for 30 minutes a day lost on average 8lbs in three months. Which means if we all kicked our Facebook habits now – we could be half a stone lighter in no time at all. Hurrah!
