While some of us are watching Wimbledon, looking at what Kim Sears and Kate Middleton are wearing, others are just hoping for another reason to get drunk and jump up and down (thank you Murray).

However, there are some watching and being inspired.

If you are one of these latter category, hoping to pick up a racket again, here's how to have a little more success and, of course, tone up that bod.

We spoke to Andrew Castle, BBC Tennis commentator and Virgin Active ambassador, and he gave us some expert advice on just what workouts help to get you smashing those aces.

The best workouts to boost your tennis game

  • Interval training is great for the legs and lungs

  • I am a believer in yoga, Pilates and group cycle classes

  • The leg press machine may seem boring but the quads are vital - and don't forget the hamstring to balance things up.

  • Low impact work is also recommended so a good swim makes more sense to me than a long run.

It is important to remember that "strong legs are key to a successful game, with so much court to cover and with so many changes of direction."
