This week in the Handbag.com office, we were lucky enough to be paid a visit by the lovely girls at Southern Comfort, and top mixologist Giles Looker, to try out their new range of Mardi Gras-inspired cocktails.
Giles mixed us some gorgeous cocktails to try at our desks, including the Louisiana Jam, a fruity mix of apricot jam, mint and Southern Comfort that brought a little bit of sunshine to a dreary January afternoon...
Ingredients:
35ml Southern Comfort
20ml lemon juice
20ml apple juice
2 tsp apricot jam
8 mint leaves
15ml sugar syrup
Mix them up:
Place the mint leaves into a clean, empty jam jar and gently muddle (crush). Place the remaining ingredients into the jam jar, half fill with crushed ice, put the jam jar lid on and shake vigorously. Remove the lid and top up with crushed ice. Garnish with a lemon wedge and a sprig of mint, and enjoy!
