British women would rather have surgery to rid themselves of excess weight, rather than lose it gradually and healthily by diet and exercise, according to a new survey.
The poll, by www.goodsurgeonguide.co.uk, showed that 34 per cent of UK women would choose to lose weight by liposuction, as they claimed it would ''work immediately'' and ''give great results''. Gastric band surgery was the second most popular at 26 per cent of the vote, and 14 per cent of women polled would cut calories drastically to lose weight.
Shockingly, only two per cent said that they would exercise more and only six per cent said that they would combine a healthy diet with exercise. Overall, 26 per cent of women said they never exercise and would rather endure the discomfort of surgery than visit a gym once a week.
What do you think? Would you have surgery to get your ideal body, or would you rather use healthy dieting and exercise to get results?
