It's official - the countdown is over, and Cheryl Cole's long-awaited solo single Fight For This Love has been unleashed on the airwaves after being unveiled on Radio One this morning.
In an answerphone message to DJ Chris Moyles before the tune was given its debut on his breakfast show, Cheryl said the single was a way for Moyles to 'feel her presence' as she couldn't be there in person to congratulate him on becoming Radio One's longest-running breakfast DJ. Cheryl is juggling other commitments alongside her pop career, including being a judge on the X Factor, becoming the UK face of L'Oreal and trying to get into acting work in America. The single is due in shops and to download on October 19th, with the album Three Words due following on October 26th.
After blasting the track out out on the Handbag.com stereo this morning, opinion on the tune is split, with some staff loving it, and others comparing it to (gulp) 'Eurotrash pop'. Listen to it here to make up your mind.
