should speedos be banned from british beaches

Anyone who has ventured onto a beach or public swimming pool on holiday has had an unintentional eyeful from someone wearing a pair, but men's Speedos may soon be on their way out, after they were banned from Alton Towers to 'prevent embarassment' for visitors.

The skintight garments may divide the opinions of men and women alike, but bosses at the park have decided that only swimming trunks may be worn in order to maintain a family atmosphere at the water park area of the resort.

Those who have the memory of Rod Stewart's leopard print Speedos still burnt onto the inside of their eyelids may rejoice, but should Speedos be banned from British waterparks and beaches altogether?
