'Octomum' Nadya Suleman has admitted in a TV interview that she shouldn't have made the decision to get pregnant with eight babies via IVF, when she already struggled to cope with six children.
Since giving birth to the octoplets in January,Suleman, a 33-year-old divorcee, has drawn worldwide attention and criticism, as she appears to struggle to cope with the six children she already has - all conceived through IVF. The octoplets are the world's longest surviving set, although they remain in hospital while their mother tries to work out how she will cope when they come home.
In the interview, Suleman revealed that she regrets having the children, and didn't think the situation through. She remains unemployed, and is living off benefits, although she plans to use student loans to help bring up the children, and there are talks to allow film crews access to her home to film a documentary to help pay for the children's upbringing.
