Should Madonna be allowed to adopt Mercy from Malawi?

Madonna's latest attempt to adopt a second child from Malawi has been suspended after the baby's alleged father tried to gain custody.

James Kambewa has never met three-year-old Mercy, whose mother died shortly after giving birth to her, and Madonna's lawyer has accused him of being 'a chancer'.

Madonna, who was snapped wearing an audacious Louis Vuitton outfit earlier this week, adopted David Banda from Malawi in 2006 but her original attempt to take Mercy out of the country was denied.

What do you think? Should Madonna be allowed to adopt Mercy?

Are celebrities like Madonna and Angelina Jolie who adopt children from poor countries doing an incredibly generous thing, or do they risk making the children's lives and those left behind even more difficult?
