Lloyds Banking Group is planning to pay bonuses to staff, despite the fact that its subisduary, HBOS, is set to record losses of up to £11 billion.
The government invested £17 billion of taxpayers' money in the group last year, but Lloyds has defended the decision by saying that only low paid employees would receive these rewards.
How do you feel about your taxes being used in this way? Should the government use the influence it now has in these banks to stop them paying out bonuses?
Are these payments justified because they are only for lower paid staff, or should all bonuses be cancelled?
