The reality TV star has admitted she is flattered to have been in the Times' People Of The Decade list. Katie was placed 40th, between Oprah Winfrey and author Dan Brown, in the list of 50 people who have shaped the last 10 years. "This is a woman who is beyond embarrassment, modesty or taste," her entry read. "She began as a topless model, now lays claim to be a businesswoman, broadcaster and writer. She has carved out a reputation and a fortune for herself, which makes her a role model for thousands of younger women. She is the apotheosis of fame and money: the sheer bravura of it commands respect.
"She is the quintessence of 'chav' with a healthy disregard for those who would pass judgement," it continued. "She represents a generation of young women unfazed by matters of class, and happy to claim whatever money will buy. She is intelligent, focused and remorseless."
Writing on her Twitter page, Katie said: "I'm so proud to say its in the times news paper that I'm number 40 in the top 50 of the worlds most influential people of the decade wow (sic)."
