Who they?
Be Inthavong and Steve Dumain, the New York-based design duo responsible for bringing an exciting new brand of luxury leather goods to the American fashion table. While Dumain hails from upstate New York, Inthavong was born and lived in Laos, moving to the US as a child. After a chance meeting, the pair launched the label from a Brooklyn loft in 2004.

Tell me more.
They make luxury handbags, shoes and accessories for the pulled-together, glossy girl not afraid to show her sexy side.

Example?
The raunchy Ines slingback heel (above, right), which comes in teal or glossy conker brown colour variations, features a peep-toe, with a triple-strap detail reaching over the arch of the foot.

Why the buzz?
Fashion always likes something new, but it's with their merging of craftsmanship with edgy sexiness that the duo have really hit accessory gold.

Any famous fans?
Liv Tyler, Charlize Theron and Penélope Cruz have all been snapped carrying Be&D arm candy.
