Top 10 autumn/winter 08 ad campaigns
Is it just me or is everyone going loco about Coco? The Canadian model with Irish roots features in the British based, French-born designer's latest campaign. Although Coco is mostly the jealously guarded muse of leading American photographer, Steven (the-man-behind-the-shades) Meisel, here Ms Rocha, is shot by trendy British photographer, Liz Collins, looking like a crazed Kate Bush style banshee. The story goes Liz Collins, who now works mostly with Italian Vogue, met the raven-haired beauty on a shoot for Numero magazine and convinced Farhi this was the girl to get her label bleeping once more on the global fashion radar. The utterly cool Coco is perfectly cast with her porcelain doll-like beauty and mad beehive hairdo. From a young age Coco was a champion Irish dancer that explains her ability to reel around the studio. Anyhow, the combination of Celtic beauty and Gaelic fashion works like a dream so it does.
