It caused car crashes, made the push-up bra one of the biggest selling fashion items of the ‘90s and now it’s been voted the most iconic advertisement of all time: of course, we’re talking about Wonderbra.

The 1994 Hello Boys campaign featuring Czech supermodel Eva Herzigova gazing down at her impressive cleavage has been named the most iconic ad ever in a public poll conducted by the Outdoor Media Centre trade body. Quite fitting considering it’s National Cleavage Day.

The clever Hello Boys slogan was dreamt up by British advertising executive Trevor Beattie - who also created French Connection’s equally cheeky FCUK campaign – and had men swiftly falling in love with the busty blonde bombshell and girls trying to emulate her (Wonderbras sold in their millions).

The lingerie campaign beat the likes of Saatchi and Saatchi’s Labour Isn’t Working billboard, which helped Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative government to win the 1979 general election, and the Lord Kitchener Wants You campaign used to recruit soldiers in World War I, which were voted number two and three in the poll respectively.
