The handbag.com edit of Urban Outfitters Autumn/Winter 2011 collection
Last week we were given the opportunity to peruse the rails of Urban Outfitter’s flagship store on Oxford Street, to create the handbag.com edit of their A/W'11 collection. Obviously, this was an extremely strenuous task which we hated doing...just kidding, it was a pleasure to spend an hour in one of our favourite shopping hang-outs. The beauty of Urban Outfitters is that not only is their mainline collection completely in tune with contemporary street trends, but their mixture of boutique and designer brands is truly inspiring. The UO buyers are on fire at the moment, and have created an Autumn/Winter collection that is seriously floating our boat.
As always, there is currently an unbeatable range of printed tees on offer alongside vintage treasures, the perfect winter ankle boots and high fashion pieces from the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Jonathan Saunders and Iro. The stand out pieces come from the UO mainline ‘Cobain’ collection, which kind of does what it says on the tin: a slew of Nineties-inspired grungey jumpers, rockstar jeans and some witchy jewellery for added Craft-ness (yeah, we always wanted to be in that movie too.)
