Riccardo Tisci to take over at Dior?
As Paris Fashion Week comes to a close today for another season, the big question on everyones lips this week has been whos going to replace John Galliano at Christian Dior?
Well, we may have an answer, sort of. The rumour mill went into overdrive last night via Twitter and, if the rumours are to be believed, Givenchys Riccardo Tisci is the man to replace disgraced designer Galliano as Diors new creative director.
Fashion journalist Derek Blasberg tweeted: I was just told backstage at the @KatyPerry concert (of all places!) that Riccardo Tisci is CONFIRMED at Dior. I leave #PFW for a second...
However, the Italian fashion designer is keeping schtum on the matter and isnt the only name in the frame. Lanvins Alber Elbaz is also believed to be in the running, with more Twitter gossip fuelling the fire.
According to the Style.com Twitter page, members of the Lanvin design team were in tears all day ahead of the fashion houses autumn/winter 2011 show on Friday. American designer Jason Wu was also spotted sitting in the front row at the show leading to reports that he could replace Elbaz if he ups sticks for Dior.
This one could run and run.
