Wayne Hemingway wants YOU! to retread your threads
Vintage fashion fans, listen up! Green Energy UK has teamed up with Wayne Hemingway and his design team has teamed up with Green Energy UK at the Vintage at Southbank Festival to launch a competition which will see one lucky winner become a catwalk judge at one of the hottest upcycled fashion events on this summer’s calendar, the Vintage at Southbank Festival.
Taking place on Friday 29 July during the festival, Green Energy UK’s Retread Your Threads catwalk show will showcase feature a selection of vintage fashions, to show you how to give new life to old clothes.
To be in with a chance of winning a spot on the judging panel for the fashion show, as well as a free Friday ticket to the festival, click here to email a picture of yourself dressed in your own re-worked vintage clobber, also stating why you should win.and let them know why you should win.
Green Energy UK chief executive, Doug Stewart, says: "With Retread Your Threads we hope to show that giving new life to old clothes is fun, creative and rewarding. Throwing things away is crazy,so let’s have fun instead."
