Natalia Vodianova attends NEWGEN launch party

Last night the UK’s very own British Fashion Council gave us a very clear stamp of approval on London’s most fashionable names to watch, with the announcement of this season’s NEWGEN.

Among the 17 winners are David Koma, a favourite of fashion doyenne Anna Della Russo, Koma’s regular catwalk buddy Holly Fulton, Michael Van Der Ham and Louise Gray (win an exclusive Louise Gray shirtdress here.) The eclectic crew of clothing, jewellery, hat and footwear designers receive support to showcase their collections at London Fashion Week in September, both on the Topshop NEWGEN catwalk (which always serves the best food) and live presentations, as well as installations and stands in the dedicated NEWGEN exhibition space at Somerset House.

We love NEWGEN, not least because its sponsored by Topshop, which generally means fantastic designer goodies at prices we can afford hit Topshop’s shelves on a regular basis! Ahem. As well as making sure fantastic UK designers get the support they need to take their business to the next level of course – no mean feat at any time, but especially in today’s economic climate.

So congrats to this season's NEWGEN; we can’t wait to see your collections at LFW!
