2012 New Year Resolutions

I’m not going to set unrealistic resolutions, because if the last year is anything to go by, life is too unpredictable to set anything in stone! I’d rather create a list of things I want to achieve and do my darndest to make sure they’ve happened by this time in 2012. I could say things like ‘I’d like to be less clumsy’, but as I said, realistic resolutions are probably best!

1.This is a big one: I’m not going to buy unnecessary clothes, and I’m going to chuck out a lot of my wardrobe.. Working in the fashion industry has definitely made me appreciate quality over quantity when it comes to clothes. I’d like to hope that I’ve (almost!) defined my own style so the days of ‘experimental’ fashion purchased are over and it’s time for a big clear out. Fred Perry, Doc Martens and lingerie are my only shopping exceptions for next year.

2. I’m going to stop eating sweets. Pic n’ mix, be gone. I really mean it this time.

3.I’m going to see my oldest friends a lot more regularly. Things have happened this year which have made me appreciate my friends even more, so I will not let anything get in the way of us seeing each other.

4.I’m going to properly learn to play guitar, write even more than I do now, go to some new festivals...the list is endless.

There are many more, but these are the most important. Happy New Year everyone – hope you manage to stick to your resolutions too.
