Michelle Obama wears British
As the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obamas fashion choices are always going to be closely scrutinised. And while shes championed American designers before, its now the turn of the British.
Yesterday Obama wore not one, but two outfits by British designers as she and American president husband Barack greeted his Chinese counterpart, Hu Jintao, on his state visit to the US.
During the day she chose an embroidered navy dress and matching overcoat by Roksanda Ilincic as part of a state arrival ceremony outside the White House in Washington. For evening she changed into a stunning red gown with a black print by Alexander McQueen - a modified version of the finale piece from the 2011 resort collection - to attend an opulent state dinner, also at the presidents official residence.
No wonder they call her the First Lady of Fashion.
