Shoes, glorious shoes at Liberty

by Fiona Raisbeck
Liberty's shoe weekend runs from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 November 2010 in London. Get all the details here.

Calling all shoe obsessives. Try not to hyperventilate, but kicking off today is Liberty’s shoe weekend for all things footwear – think shoe designer personal appearances, skyscraper heel walking lessons and spa treatments for weary feet, plus 15% off all shoe purchases across the weekend and double loyalty points for Liberty cardholders to boot.

Fancy it? The deets are: Shoe design whiz, Nicholas Kirkwood, will be taking over the department store’s shoe boutique between 6 and 8pm tonight where footwear fans can catch a glimpse of all the stunning heels he created for Rodarte, Erdem and Peter Pilotto’s spring/summer 2011 collections, as well as pieces from his eponymous label, which will all be exclusively available to order.

Friday sees stylist Richard Sloan play host between 6 and 9pm on the shoe floor where shoppers can learn how to strut with confidence in his high heel masterclass while DJs spin a mix of party tunes.

It’s the turn of shoe designer Rupert Sanderson on Saturday afternoon between 2 and 4pm, where he’ll be on hand to sign shoes, talk shoppers through his latest resort collection and be interviewed by journalist Fiona Golfar.

If that wasn’t enough, expert podiatrist, Margaret Dabbs and her team will be offering complimentary reflexology treatments for anyone that books into the Sole Spa (launching in Liberty in early December) to spruce up your tootsies for the looming party season.

Sound good? Go on, treat yourself.

Liberty’s shoe weekend runs from Thursday 25 to Sunday 28 November at Liberty, Great Marlborough Street, London, W1B 5AH.
