Kate Moss returns to the catwalk
The most eventful Paris Fashion Week for years just got even bigger: Kate Moss has returned to the catwalk.
The supermodel closed close pal Marc Jacobs Louis Vuitton autumn/winter 2011 show in spectacular style at the citys Louvre Museum this morning. She strutted down the catwalk to rapturous applause wearing a pair of high-waisted black knickers, a fur trimmed jacket, knee-high lace-up boots and leather gloves. With her hair scraped back into a ponytail and with a small sequinned Venetian mask on top of her head, she walked with a cigarette in hand, blowing plumes of smoke into the air, sealing her triumphant return.
Kate retired from the catwalk back in 2004 and has only made a few special appearances since. Its the first time that she has taken to the runway since February last year, when she took part in the Fashion For Relief charity show in London, organised by fellow supe Naomi Campbell in aid of the Haiti earthquake appeal. Aside from the charity show, the last time Kate walked a catwalk was back in 2008 at the House of Blue Eyes presentation during London Fashion Week, when she made an impromptu decision to model wearing a top hat and cane.
