James Small London Fashion Week party
Last night was the official end of London Fashion Week and while many editors flew straight to Milan for the next round of womenswear shows, those who’d stayed in town to attend Men’s Day were in the mood to party. We headed over to the James Small/Vauxhall Motors bash at the swanky Corinthia Hotel in Whitehall to have a few drinks and watch the fash pack letting its hair down.
James Small had shown his Spring/Summer 2012 collection as part of Vauxhall Fashion Scout. The designer has previously worked with Hugo Boss, Mulberry and Comme Des Garcons and since launching his own label he’s been honoured with the New Generation award from the British Fashion Council. With such an impressive CV, it was no surprise to see a seriously stellar front row cheering him on, including Kate Moss and Jamie Hince, Jaime Winstone and Sadie Frost – pretty much the whole of the Primrose Hill posse reunited. Jaime, Sadie and friends celebrated Small’s success at the after-party, but sadly la Moss didn’t make an appearance.
Despite the absence of our favourite supermodel, we had a great time checking out the guests outfits (loved Sadie Frost’s red Vivienne Westwood shoes) and laughing just a little at the hilarious shapes being thrown on the dancefloor – it’s comforting to know that the beautiful people aren’t the greatest dancers...
