H&M launches Fashion Against Aids for spring 2011
The Misshapes model for H&M FAA
H&Ms charitable clothing range Fashion Against Aids (FAA), which aims to help spread the message of safe sex and HIV/Aids prevention around the world, is back for another year - and for 2011 its a unisex collection.
The Swedish high street giant has called on a whole host of celebrity friends to help promote the clothing range - now in its fourth year - and its charitable message. The latest FAA campaign sees actresses Selma Blair and Ginnifer Goodwin join Gossip Girl hottie Penn Badgley, Twilight star Nikki Reed, and musicians Akon, Keri Hilson, Scissor Sisters and The Misshapes on poster duty, modelling the clothes in a series of colourful shots complete with rainbow-hued paint splashes in the background.
Shoppers will be able to snap up the new range from H&M stores nationwide later this month, with 25% of all proceeds donated to Designers Against Aids and other HIV/Aids awareness charities and projects.
And what of the clothes? Think slogan T-shirts, jumpsuits, hoodies, chino trousers, shorts, and lightweight trench coats and parkas in a light spring palette of peach, lemon yellow, mint green, white, grey and silver. The accessories are all top notch too, with backpacks, leather belts and scarves sure to be high up on shoppers wish lists. Prices start at £6.99 for a vest top and go up to £79.99 for a sleeveless leather jacket.
The collection goes online from 26 April. Alternatively, stop by your local H&M store from 28 April and head to the Divided department to stock up.
