Watch Burberry in Piccadilly Circus
Weve long known that Burberry is a fashion brand that likes to embrace technology. Streamed a show live in 3D? Been there. Allowed shoppers to buy the collection online as soon as its revealed? Done that. Supporting new British bands with live acoustic video clips via the labels website and YouTube? Got the T-shirt. Well, now Burberry is taking it up a notch once more.
The label has just announced that it will be live streaming its London Fashion Week autumn/winter 2011 Prorsum show, which takes place on Monday 21 February at 4pm, through the iconic digital advertising screen in Londons Piccadilly Circus. The famous Coca-Cola sign will be replaced by a video of the show the first time that an event has ever been live streamed in Piccadilly Circus.
Not only will fans be able to catch a glimpse of the show in one of Londons most famous landmarks, but it will be shown live in Burberry flagship stores around the globe and on the labels website.
Whats more, viewers will be able to buy pieces from the collection immediately after the show (with pieces delivered to your door seven weeks later) and download the music used in the unveiling of the new range through iTunes.
