A summer hasn’t had this much rain since Rihanna released ‘Umbrella,’ and here at HB Towers, we’re embracing the grotty weather. Well, we’re getting used to it anyway. Gone are the days of us moping around, muttering under our breath about our soggy shoes, rubbish umbrellas or lack of coat. We’re getting rain-ready.

First step: remember your brolly. Make it a good’un. Don’t go for the cheap option just because it looks nice. We know most umbrellas do crack under the pressure, but a trusty one will see you through the seasons. Think big. Think cocoon.

Aside from your umbrella, you need the right shoes. It being festival season, wellies are fashionable anyway. If you’re not feeling up to them, go for some plastic brogues. Pack a waterproof coat, or even better that preserve of the ‘90s super mum – the cag in a bag. Don’t mock it until you find yourself in a torrential downpour and you’re caught short in well, shorts.
