We never thought we’d see the day when anything could bump our beloved leopard print off the top spot, but this season snakeskin has achieved the impossible and done just that. Decadent, dramatic and luxurious in a particularly ‘70s way, it was seen on the catwalk at Gucci where it seems the modern way to wear snakeskin is in the brightest colours possible – acid yellow, candy pink, apple green.
Slip this slinky leather belt through the loops of a pair of black skinny cropped trousers for a subtle way to wear the snakeskin trend this season, or use it to update your coat from last winter by cinching it in at the waist.
