Amanda Seyfried

Amanda Seyfried,designer,high street,shopping Amanda Seyfried

From all-singing, all-dancing bride-to-be in Mamma Mia to seductive temptress in Chloe to love-struck teen in her latest film Dear John, Amanda Seyfried is no stranger to the big screen - or the red carpet, for that matter.
Seyfried\'s own look is difficult to decipher because she is rarely spotted outside of the day job. From what we have seen of her off-duty look, we can tell you that she\'s a fan of the blazer, jean and heel combination. In fact, she\'s admitted as much. "I have jeans with holes in them and I have nice jeans. I have casual and I have dressy jeans," runs a quote on imdb.com. "I\'ve got all kinds... Jeans are just so sexy. There\'s something about them that turns me on, you know?"
Besides this insightful revelation, it is her red carpet appearances that have built up our understanding of what this rising starlet\'s style is all about. She clearly loves to be the belle of the ball (at this year\'s Oscars, she opted for a gorgeous, fresh-off-the-catwalk Armani Privé gown). She loves colour - the brighter the better. And this 5ft 3in star sure does love a seriously high heel. Here, we\'ve popped her in some Louboutins. We think she\'d approve.

Dear John is out 14 April, watch the trailer here

Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock,Marni,Monsoon,designer,high street,shopping,Tibi Sandra Bullock

Sandra Bullock\'s dress sense is one part glam Oscar-winner, one part hot mumma. However, at the moment she\'s probably not feeling like either. After a heinous break-up all you\'re looking for in an outfit is comfort, slouch and something that\'s not covered in snot and mascara from all the crying. But one of the main things we love about Sandra is that she seems plucky and strong, so when she\'s ready to move out of the tracksuit we\'ll be ready with the perfect SB bounce back outfit - a trusty yet flirty LBD, some killer heels and simple accessories.

Best Actress Oscar-winner Sandra Bullock is in The Blind Side which is at cinemas now.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer Aniston,designer,high street,shopping Jennifer Aniston

Safe and a bit vanilla: words that could just as easily describe Jennifer Aniston\'s sartorial choices or her film roles. While we don\'t feel it\'s our place to critique her acting decisions (The Bounty Hunter, out now, which she stars in with Gerard Butler, has been panned), when it comes to her style choices, we\'re more than happy to weigh in.
Renowned for her sensible, girl-next-door style when she played Rachel in Friends, L\'Aniston still sticks to reliable, risk-free dresses on the red carpet. Buff and tanned, she doesn\'t mind flashing her enviable figure, especially a bit of leg, in something short and sexy.
Here, we\'ve dressed her up in a classic navy dress and trench, keeping her safely in her comfort zone.

Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Gyllenhaal,designer,high street,shopping Maggie Gyllenhaal

Maggie Gyllenhaal may have an Oscar nomination for best Actress In A Supporting Role under her belt but we can\'t help feeling she\'s one of us. Unlike a spattering of her La La land contemporaries, Maggie has her head screwed on (she\'s not scared to get all up in Hollywood\'s face and discuss politics, publicly weighing in on discussions about war and terrorism), she has a ‘normal\' family life (she\'s been with the man she loves since 2002 and is mum to Ramona, three) and a down to earth sense of style (it\'s no shocker to see her in jeans and no make-up). It\'s Maggie\'s relatable qualities which make us love her... that and her delectable red carpet choices!

She looked stunning at last month\'s Golden Globe awards wearing a peach origami inspired gown by RM by Roland Mouret, which is keeping us on the edge of our seat to see what she chooses to wear to the Oscars, where she will be attending for her role in Crazy Heart (out on 5 March, watch the trailer here).

Kate Moss

Is she? Isn\'t she? We mean, of course, engaged/taking over the fashion world with the announcement of yet another lucrative business deal/growing old gracefully by dyeing her hair grey in parts? No one can be sure what Kate Moss will do next but one thing we are positive about is that this supermodel extraordinaire is adding another string to her bow by teaming up with luxury leather goods brand Longchamp to launch a handbag range.
The bags are named after Kate\'s favourite haunts, including Glastonbury (seen here), Soho and Gloucester. Each of the bags has a zebra print lining and scarf attached (Kate\'s love for this particular animal skin makes us think she\'d be a huge fan of this dress by Reiss), and will be available in Longchamp stores from 10 February.
As to whether Kate and her beau Jaime Hince are engaged, we can\'t confirm, hence the optional engagement ring pictured here!

Hollywood sweetheart Drew Barrymore accepted her first Golden Globe wearing Versace ("Thank you, Donatella", cue hilarious husky Donatella Versace impression around 16 seconds in on this clip), but let\'s face it she could wear a sack or even - as we have dressed her up in here - high street and still look like a star.
This talented starlet has channelled her 28 years of on-set experience into her directorial debut Whip It (watch the trailer here), which we are looking forward to seeing almost as much as her next award season gown. In the meantime, between all the fabulous red carpet events, we think Drew wouldn\'t mind stepping out in this little get-up...

Zooey Deschanel

Instantly recognisable for her retro beehive, black liquid eyeliner flicks and vintage style, Zooey Deschanel\'s original look means she stands out from the LA clones. Multi-talented Deschanel is an actress turned singer/songwriter for two-bit group She & Him, both careers offering her the perfect platform to play dress-up. We loved her quirky style in (500) Days Of Summer (which is out on DVD today, 18 Jan, watch the trailer here), vintage frocks and capri pants with cute cardigans have never looked so adorable.
Here we\'ve gone for candyfloss colours (huge for spring/summer 2010) and low girly heels to get the Zooey look.

Leighton Meester

Ms Meester is in the envious position, as a teen-queen-TV-screen goddess, of having designers queuing up to clothe her. In Gossip Girl she gets to play dress-up as Upper East Sider Blair Waldorf in preppy, polished labels like Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta and Diane von Furstenberg. But it\'s Leighton\'s off-screen designer endeavours that get our pulse racing. This actress turned singer (she has released a single, Somebody To Love in the US) isn\'t scared to push a boundary or two, embracing fashion-forward styles from Louis Vuitton, Christopher Kane and Richard Nicoll. It must be hard to be in the shadow of one so diminutive in size who gains twice as many column inches as you. Suri Cruise (well, you didn\'t think we were talking about Tom, did you?!) must be forgiven for continuously outshining Mum, Katie, after all it is official, she is the most fashionable celebrity tot out there. Holmes prefers to dress sensibly with a chic all-American edge. Smart basics and elegant details are the basis of this working mum\'s wardrobe, leaving the dressing up to Suri.

Gwen Stefani

Gwen Stefani,designer,high street,shopping Gwen Stefani

While the fashion world starts to pack up its zips and studs in preparation for the ultra-girly spring season ahead, there’s one girl you can always rely on to be one of the boys, Gwen Stefani.

Back on tour with No Doubt, she has to strike that balance between being the band’s sex symbol and yet still be taken seriously on the tour bus. So what’s Gwen’s secret? On stage it might be all about cargo pants and crop tops but when she’s out on the town her killer ingredients are a sexy dress (tighter the better, but not too short), some fierce heels and her trademark shocking red lipstick. Oh, and let’s not forget a few trinkets from her favourite designer, Dame Vivienne Westwood. Here’s how you can get Gwen’s look…

Gwen wears:

Tartan dress, £95 from All Saints

Black suede zip-front shoe boots, £130 from Carvela

Orb ring, £120 by Vivienne Westwood from Liberty

Leopard print shopper bag, £356 by Vivienne Westwood from My-Wardrobe

Freida Pinto

Of all the celebrities who have graced (and disgraced) the headlines this year we think Freida Pinto should be crowned fairy on top of the celeb Christmas tree. Since her appearance in Slumdog Millionaire we\'ve been transfixed by her flawless outfits on the red carpet, her tug-on-your-heartstrings romance with Slumdog co-star and all-round Prince Charming, Dev Patel and, most notably, her immaculate taste in shoes (she rarely wears anything but her favoured Rupert Sanderson heels).
Here\'s how you can get her look...

Bow bustier dress, £55 from Lipsy
Jacket, £22 from Miss Selfridge
Weave clutch, £630 by Bottega Veneta from Net-a-porter
Estelle heels, £445 from Rupert Sanderson

Rihanna

With her new album Rated R riding high in the charts this week, Rihanna\'s comeback from her Annus Horribilis continues apace. First there was the shocking attack by professional scumbag Chris Brown, then those leaked intimate naked photos. But through all the ups and downs, one thing has remained constant - her dedication to being a fabulously fierce fashion icon.
As the unofficial muse to the world\'s leading avant-garde fashion designers (along with Lady Gaga), Rihanna\'s style rules are fairly straightforward - no outfit too crazy, too revealing, too weird or wacky, no hemline too high (no hemline at all), the louder the better and above all, BE SEXY.

Katy Perry

designer,high street,katy perry,shopping Katy Perry

Katy Perry is ON FIRE at the moment. Hardly a week seems to go by when she\'s not either hosting an award ceremony or lighting up the red carpet at one. She has charisma by the bucket load, a saucy grin that spells trouble and the world\'s top designers queuing up to dress her. And we\'re not the only one\'s who have noticed. As anyone who hasn\'t been living under a rock for the last few months can tell you, she has tamed the planet\'s most incorrigible lothario, Russell Brand - no mean feat! So what\'s Katy\'s secret? Well, we think it\'s not in her kiss but her wardrobe. Her kooky humour is perfectly reflected in her dress sense. Where other starlets channel Grace Kelly, Katy\'s icons are more along the lines of Wonder Woman, Jessica Rabbit and Minnie Mouse. She\'s not afraid to do drop-dead glamour when the occasion calls but there\'s always a trademark Perry spin - clashing colours, out-there accessories, a sexy West Ham kit with ‘Rusty\' emblazoned across her bottom... Ok, we\'ll forgive her that one.

Katy wears:

Bobble hat, £12.99 from River Island
Black over the knee socks, £5 from Topshop
Leopard print boots, £150 by Ashish for Topshop

Georgia Jagger

designer,high street,shopping,georgia jagger Georgia Jagger

It\'s sickening. 17 years old and owner of a seriously enviable sense of style. "But she has access to her model mum Jerry Hall\'s wardrobe!" I hear you say. "Whatever," I say back at you. Her well-tuned eye for fashion is undoubtedly innate and, it seems to us, no amount of her mum\'s clobber would make any difference.
This model-of-the-moment has recently landed her first major fashion house campaign with Versace. Whether or not this high-fashion influence will have an effect on her wardrobe (it will no doubt broaden it) remains to be seen, but at the moment it seems she is happy to mix high street outfits with youthful accessories by the likes of Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood.

She’s got two and a quarter inches over big sister Kylie, she’s on the judging panel of the UK’s most popular TV show and she’s recently had an entire chat show dedicated to her in Dannii Minogue Uncut: Piers Morgan’s Life Stories. Dannii’s definitely got a big bucket load of that thing she and her fellow judges are searching for on a Saturday night.

Whereas Cheryl Cole tends to opt for limelight-grabbing, cleavage-revealing outfits for the live show, Dannii plays the glamour card (not the Playboy kind mind you, she’s left those days behind her) in glitzy and current get-ups. Go team Dannii!

Dree Hemingway

Primark,designer,high street,shopping,french connection,Dree Hemingway Dree Hemingway

Granted, this girl comes from good stock (her grandfather was Ernest) but it\'s her It girl credentials that we\'re interested in. Dree Hemingway, as we gave you the heads up back at the start of the year, is the fashion darling of the moment. When this ex-ballerina isn\'t modelling in the Chanel show, or inspiring us all to dye our hair pink after her appearance in Giles Deacon\'s spring/summer 2010 show, she\'s being muse to the beady-eyed street style bloggers who catch her off duty and, surprise surprise, looking immaculate.

Dree is somewhat of a fashion chameleon. She\'s equal parts New York downtown scruff/high-end fashion risk taker. We prefer the later, here\'s how to get her look.

Chloë Sevigny

Chloe Sevigny,designer,high street,shopping Chloë Sevigny

Why does style maverick Chloë look so smug? Because she can put on absolutely anything (eg. a hooded antler cardigan) and make it look hella cool, that\'s why. Her unique kookness when it comes to dressing inadvertently sparks trends that girls around the globe immediately want to copy, or at least wish they could.

The Sevigny secret? Get your gams out. The more leg the better, and when they look like hers, who wouldn\'t? This short Breton stripe dress is perfect to show off her best assets. Remember however, as Sevigny does, when you\'re doing the leg thing, more is more up top. Tits and ass isn\'t a good look, people.

Michelle Williams

When we first clapped eyes on this girly gorgeous handbag from the Miu Miu resort collection, we knew that it had Michelle Williams\' name all over it. Her sweet and unashamedly feminine dress sense has won praise from fashion commentators and red-carpet gawpers the world over, so this charming little shoulder bag with its over-sized gems, sparkly lurex brocade and pearl studs is bound to be on her wish list this season.

So how to capture the essence of Michelle? Not for her a power-shoulder, a studded jacket, a ripped legging. In fact, Michelle shrugs off trends altogether and sticks to what she does best - effortless, cute and girly - with understated ease. We thought this silver skirt from high street occasion wear specialist Coast would be right up her street, teamed with a Michelle Williams wardrobe staple: a cute blouse. Mix in the perfect pair of show-stopping heels and an understated bracelet, and you\'re ready to face the world.

Grunge glam queen Mary-Kate Olsen has been on our style-crush radar for quite a while now. Yes, we know she needs to brush her hair and stand up straight, but that\'s half her charm. Leave the high maintenance routine to Victoria Beckham, we need girls who, like us, come a little frayed around the edges.

So what is it about MK that has fashion followers from New York to Tokyo swooning at her every sartorial selection? Well, take one over-sized handbag (although, being on the miniature side, any bag looks over-sized on Mary-Kate), team with vertiginous heels and, wherever possible, add a quirky twist (we know she would love these bunny ears, as will her Harajuku fan club), et voilà! Anna Wintour

Anna Wintour instant outfit Instant outfit in the style of Anna Wintour

Last time Anna Wintour came to London Fashion Week she was merely the world\'s most feared and respected editrix. Skip forward a couple of years (and one major documentary film) and she\'s a bonafide A-list star with as much paparazzi pulling power and as many outfit changes as Lady Gaga. So, what to wear when the world\'s eyes are upon you? Answer? Keep it simple.

\r\n

Anna has found a fashion formula that works for her and rarely strays from her personal style rules. Anyone who\'s seen The September Issue will know she\'s not a fan of black (to YSL designer Stefano Pilati: \"I\'m not seeing any colour Stefano, where is the colour?!\") and loves a busy floral print. The accessories are always chic and understated (no ‘this season\'s bag/statement shoe\' for Anna) and the best you can hope for is some extravagant but classy jewellery (a brooch or necklace, never rings or earrings).

\r\n

Oh and of course, the sunglasses. Never leave home without them. Luckily for us, Anna bought her own.

\r\n

Anna wears:

Floral print dress, £65 from Warehouse

Gem embellished necklace, £480 by Oscar de la Renta from Net-a-porter

Diamante kitten heels, £44.99 from Clarks

Printed lizard suede bag, £980 by Yves Saint Laurent from Harvey Nichols

Erin Wasson is the poster girl for non-conformist style. This model, stylist and muse knows how to put her own stamp on an outfit and we applaud her for it. Part Tom-boy skater girl, part leggy beauty with a tiny bit of sluttyness thrown in for good measure. Where Erin leads, many many follow.
Here we show you how to get her look. The main pointers you need to remeber are: lots and lots of trinket jewellery (friendship bracelets like these are just up her street), an element of Texas (her homeland), such as this fringed leather waistcoat, will give your look an individual edge, and when wearing denim make sure it\'s seriously distressed.

While the tabloids are in a lather this week over the rumour that Lindsay Lohan is poised to pose nude for Playboy, we have to say we prefer her with her clothes on. No offense Lindsay, you\'re in tip-top shape, but with a wardrobe like yours it seems somewhat criminal don\'t you think?

So what is it about Lohan\'s style that the fashion press find so enthralling? Well, she\'s the trash-fabulous princess who is never knowingly not wearing the latest cult labels. She treads that fine line between slutty-sexy and fashion-sexy in the highest heels she can walk in, and when those heels are the fiercest, new season Balmain, who are we to argue?

Diane Kruger

Kurt Geiger,designer,diane kruger,high street,shopping,french connection Diane Kruger

Diane Kruger stars in Quentin Tarantino \'s latest film Inglourious Basterds. The film has critics divided. Her style choices however, are rarely disputed.

This German actress plumps for a sophisticated, classic look on the red carpet, favouring the fashion biggies such as Chanel and Christian Dior. She has the feminine/masculine look down to a tee too; more than once this model turned actress has donned a tux and vamped it up with some sky scraping heels and ruby red lips. Here\'s how you can get the look...

Feminine tuxedo blouse, £170 by D&G from Harvey Nichols
Leather zip front skirt, £375 by Lover from Net-a-porter
Embroidered clutch bag, £50 from French Connection
Black stone ring, £160 from YSL
Metallic gold stilettos, £190 from Kurt Geiger

Emma Watson,designer,high street,shopping Emma Watson

Emma Watson has proved herself to be a bona fide fashionista this summer. While promoting Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince she\'s flashed in vintage Ossie Clarke and dazzled in a leather Proenza Schouler halterneck. Mixing high street with designer (Chanel seems to be her label of choice) and cult brands is her speciality.

Lace corset dress, £45 from Topshop
Chain necklace, £12 from COS
Russian doll muffler, from Chanel
Suede boots with silver eyelit detail, £225 by Opening Ceremony from Farfetch
