Here at Handbag Towers we’ve been talking about this summer’s festivals since, well, last summer, and not just for the music. We’re always on the lookout for something fabulous to dress up all the sensible clothes that are a pre-requisite of chilly nights in a tent, so you can imagine our excitement when we came across Miss Selfridge’s new limited edition festival line, available at selected stores and online from next week.
"The limited edition festival collection encapsulates the spirit of Miss Selfridge and our vintage inspirations," explains creative director Yasmin Yusuf. "The items in the range can be dressed up or down. They are not about directional fashion but more a sense of style and are perfect for girls wishing to create a unique look. For example, we gave the grey beaded flapper style tunic dress to our model on the shoot and she styled it with her own red DM boots and a biker jacket, but it could also be dressed up with heels and a tailored jacket."
Inspired by beautiful finds from previous decades, the collection serves up stand-out, embellished blouses and dresses that can be worn alone or slung over skinny jeans or cut-off shorts for instant, insouciant glamour, with a side dish of worn-in denim essentials. We love!
