Edie tote, £525 by Pringle of Scotland from Net-a-porter
Cliché's aside, navy blue so is the new black. Chic, non-ubiquitous (unlike its black cohort) and elegant, navy was undoubtedly one of the key trends to appear this autumn. London based designers Giles and Richard Nicoll sent models out on the runway top-to-toe in the trend (Giles taking it quite literally, even painting the models lips dark blue). While electric blue sequin pants were a highlight at Preen and proved that the colour de jour has a fun and frivolous side.
This tote comes from luxury brand Pringle of Scotland. Established since 1815, Pringle of Scotland has a rich past. The brand, which was mostly known for its argyle golfing sweaters, under went a make over in 2000, giving it a luxe-r look and increasing its fashion heritage. Our heads were turned when we saw that their accessories line had truly come into its own. The Edie tote is our bag of choice. The rich navy blue ticks all of the right boxes and takes us seamlessly into the new season.
