Our inner geek doesn't need a lot of persuasion to come out, so when we saw Marni's autumn/winter collection on the catwalk we were ready to sign up immediately for after school style activities and don a pair of reading glasses.
The librarian look has never appeared more luxe. Girls stomped down the catwalk in sturdy (I wouldn't go as far as saying sensible, this is still high fashion not a WI meeting) heels teamed with chunky opaque tights and prudent knee-length skirts. However it was the accessories that really got us excited; prim leather satchels in buttery shades of tan, custard yellow and baby pink will lend you that air of sophistication you never had when you were at school. Just make sure you resist the temptation to write your favourite band or the boy you fancy's name on it!
