Fashion renegade Alexander McQueen has designed the ultimate statement bag. Inspired by the 1968 film Girl on a Motorcycle starring Marianne Faithful, who although was binned for her acting in the film you couldn't knock for how good she looked in an all-in-one leather biker suit - no easy task. It's easy to see where the inspiration for the Faithful bag came from then with its biker jacket style pockets, popper fastenings and hardwearing zips. Everything about the bag, a lot like a biker's leathers, is made to last, for instance the quilted reinforced corners which promise to be a key feature throughout the whole range which will go on through to McQueen's autumn/winter accessories range.
The Faithful went into store at the start of May.
