It's all about urban cool...

For those of us who love the vibe of an outdoor concert but come out in hives at the thought of leaving the city limits, a festival held in an urban space is the perfect compromise. From harbourside to town squares to green spaces, they’re fast becoming a fixture of city slickers’ summer schedule, and Lovebox, held in East London’s Victoria Park, is one of our favourites.

Without the perils of camping out to consider, and with less distance to travel, the weather becomes secondary to just how cool you’ll look at the 24-hour parties that follow the event.

So, our top tip for festival fashion in the city make sure you feel comfortable leaving the house in your garb; but we’re not saying boring, we’re saying work the trends, especially colour blocking, rainbow denim and animal prints. Add in some rock chick bling and hard-edged motif T-shirt, and if you must throw on a waterproof, make sure it’s fashion fabulous.

Read on to see our pick of the urban festival fashion.
