Coach are famous for their modern luxury accessories, especially the super-desirable handbags. Their classic styling, including equestrian and chain-link details, has made their bags a hit with women across the world, and now Coach are bringing their brand to London. Their flagship store opened this week at 41 New Bond Street, just in time for Coach’s 70th anniversary (the company was established in 1941). To celebrate, they have produced ‘The 41 collection’ (like what they did there!) which features three exclusive bag styles, each inspired by a different part of London. The ‘W1’, for example, is a chic navy and gold number, perfect for wearing while strolling down Bond Street (even if it’s just for window shopping.)
Along with the 41 collection, the new flagship offers the entire Coach range, which was previously only available in the US, housed in a luxurious space. The store has a distinctly New York look and feel – all neutral tones and achingly cool interior design. Sticking with the NYC theme, fashion photographer Peter Lindberg has shot Gwyneth Paltrow in the Big Apple, posing with some great Coach handbags; she’s a long-time lover of the brand, so it makes sense for her to be fronting the campaign. Here at Handbag Towers, we like Gwyneth a lot (if only for her cheeky tweets), so the combination of one of our favourite Hollywood stars, plus luxury handbags, is all the reason we need to go and check out the Coach shop.
