Listen up shoe fans! Christian Louboutin is celebrating 20 years of red-soled heels with its first ever retrospective exhibition taking place in the UK next year. The show will take place between March 28 and July 1 at the Design Museum in London, and will give an in-depth insight into all aspects of the design process, as well as showing off some of Louboutins most famous designs.
You better bring your notebook and pen, because youre in for a serious shoe lesson! From the initial conception to the actual creation of the shoe, to the origins of those ubiquitous red soles, as well as insights into the Christian Louboutin approach to sales, store design and marketing, no aspect will be left unexplored.
The exhibition will also showcase several themes favoured by the famously eccentric designer, from fairytales to travel, fantasy to showgirls, giving us invaluable insight into his exciting world, and how hes scaled the upper echelons of shoe design.
Brought to you from the interior designers behind Shoreditch House, the exhibition definitely sounds like a fun place to be, and a must-see for anyone who has coveted those red-soles, even if you dont own any. So take your places firmly in the queue behind other Louboutin fans, including Victoria Beckham and Olivia Palermo. Youre in good company.
