Just opened in the heart of Londons vintage fashion scene, Blitz Vintage Department store is a gigantic boutique housed in a Victorian warehouse. We cant wait to find out what this store has to offer over the plethora of vintage shops in the East End area as well as around the UK.
Run by two vintage obsessives, this new store is designed to offer a shopping experience as well as a great selection of clothing theres heavy emphasis on the Seventies to early Nineties, with a handful of early 20th century pieces (and a big choice of vintage Swatch, for the watch fans out there.) However, its not just frocks on offer Blitz also has a furniture section and vintage bikes for sale, so that in theory, you can purchase the complete retro lifestyle. With five different rooms of stock, including eccentricities, books and records, vintage fans could probably camp out at Blitz all day long. Once the coffee bar opens, created from a converted classic Fiat 500, we cant really see a reason to leave. If you hate the normal rummage through packed rails style then the space and calm atmosphere at Blitz could make you a convert. Its an interesting new take on vintage shopping, and one that wed like to see catch on!
