Uh oh. Here at Handbag Towers, we all share a common affliction - a severe shopping addiction. Unfortunately, it seems that this problem is only going to get worse with the opening of the shiny new Westfield mall, due to fling open its doors on the 13th September (two months today). The new Westfield development in Stratford is set to be the largest city shopping centre in Europe, and will also house a fourteen screen Vue cinema, artworks created by East London artists, as well as amazing new flagship stores. New US brand Forever 21 will be setting up shop within Westfield Stratford City, while M&S and John Lewis will have stores that are both 200,000sq feet+. Ay caramba! Thats a lot of knickers/yummy food/wonderful home accessories.
For current East Londoners, Westfield Stratford City is sure to become the essential shopping destination, as well as a place where you can while away an afternoon; the development encompasses a huge estate on the entrance to the Olympic Park (who needs the 100m when you can go to the shops?) so the whole area will include houses, hotels and an Academy, so its not all about retail therapy. Oh, who are we kidding? All those shiny new stores housed in inspiring architecture theres some serious shopping to be done!
